COVID 19

Our Approach to COVID 19

talentshift hr takes risks to the health, safety and well being of people very seriously. COVID 19 is a virus that has the capability to cause real harm to our clients and to their people who participate in our activities. We will always seek to work with our clients to reduce the risks to the lowest levels possible, in order to protect people from COVID 19.

Remote Working

In agreement with clients, we can run meetings, 1:1 sessions, and many learning and development events in format suitable for remote workers to participate in. We use Zoom and Teams as our primary virtual meeting platforms, as these are the most suitable for the solutions we develop and run. We are moving to a position where solutions we develop are suitable for both remote and face to face delivery methods, with very little modification and adaptation. During lockdowns, we did not charge clients for adapting programmes to remote working.

We also use a range of technology solutions to help make remote training more participative and engaging than just running PowerPoint presentations and Q&As. We use tools such as Menti, Kudoboard and videos hosted on Vimeo to enrich the learning experience.

We will also modularise learning events into shorter sessions to avoid screen fatigue and boredom, and run more frequent but shorter sessions to keep energy levels and engagement up.

Flexibility is the key to delivering remote learning sessions and we will work closely with clients to find solutions that work for everyone.

Working on Client Sites

We will comply with our client’s on-site policies linked to COVID 19, in the same way with always comply with their security, health and safety, and employee conduct policies. We will set rooms out that allow suitable social distancing. We will adapt exercises to minimise risks around close contact with people. We use sanitizers regularly on our hands, equipment and work areas whilst on site. We can bring our own refreshments as required.

Our own risk management.

We are double vaccinated. We wear masks. We will conduct lateral flow tests and record the results on a regular basis. We use NHS COVID apps. We can carry NHS COVID Certificates if requested to. If we ever test positive, or are notified to isolate, we will not come onto any client site until we have a clear test result and the government specified quarantine period has finished in full. We regularly check Government Guidance on COVID 19 and comply with all of the required actions made on ourselves and our clients by national governments.

If required to work outside of the UK, we will comply with all travel requirements from the UK government and the government(s) of the nation(s) we travel to.

Travel for Meetings

We will try and reduce the need for face to face meetings by use of Zoom or Teams. A lot of the collaborative work we do can be achieved by virtual meetings and we will seek to only attend face to face meetings where it is sensible to do so. Of course, if clients wish to meet face to face, and suitable precautions are followed, we are happy to do this.

Cancellation and Rebooking due to COVID 19

Our preferred solution is to always re-book sessions rather than cancel events outright. Our normal working practice is to invoice clients on completion of work and rarely charge for short notice cancellations, especially if re-booked into the future. We will work with clients to find a solution rather than charge for work we end up not doing. Just talk to us and we are confident a solution can be reached that works for both us and our clients.
